Brit: Right off the bat, Mallika’s mentorship style was hands-on and ALL IN. From the moment I began to work with her, I felt completely supported. Mallika always has your business in the back of her mind and is willing to share her ideas freely. She even replied to my newsletter emails with encouragement, commented on my social posts, and even to my stories! 

Creating the Plan

Can you explain how we worked together to develop a unique plan for your brand and marketing?

Brit: The 1:1 call was so essential to kick start the mastermind process! I appreciated the hand holding Mallika offered as I filled out the Brand Tracker. This helped us form a plan because I was able to see clear data, so we knew where to focus our efforts during my time in the mastermind. 

Another incredible tool was the BBM Facebook group. I was able to get invaluable feedback from Mallika and my fellow masterminders about my specific brand messaging questions I had in real time.

Putting It into Action

Describe the steps we took to implement your brand strategy:

Brit: Lots and LOTS of brainstorming! Mallika taught me how to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. She helped me understand the true importance of being present on social media while helping others stay present as well. This was key to sharing my brand message. 

Measuring Success

What measures did you use to determine if the Brand Breakthrough Mastermind was successful? 

Brit: For me, audience growth was a big goal. I was also hoping to increase sales. During my time in the mastermind, I was able to see how one of my offerings wasn't as successful in sales as I had hoped, but I learned that my Starter Kit Session was actually an easier sell! Even better, that product converts customers into retainer clients more easily.

Emotional Support

How did our mentorship program provide you with emotional support during the brand strategy journey?

Brit: There was a point in the beginning of Fall 2023 that I felt so discouraged. I knew my messaging was very vanilla, and it seemed like it wasn't resonating with anyone. 

I expressed this issue in the Facebook group, and Mallika commented right back with encouragement to get me back on track. Ultimately I just needed to be reminded to stay on course. The challenge I was struggling with was self doubt.

Mentorship Connection

Can you share your experience regarding the connections and relationships formed with your mentor during the program? How did this mentorship impact your approach to brand strategy?

Brit: I'm so glad to know someone like Mallika and have her in my corner. She’s always connecting me with people who might be interested in working with me or people to collaborate with. This has rubbed off on me to connect others more and also resulted in a few new clients.

Brit: So many things! The resources hub, the weekly emails outlining what’s to come, and the Meet the Brand Template were all wonderful tools provided to help keep me on track and provide structure, which I think is exactly what I was looking for in building out my messaging.

Brit: My business and my messaging now feel more aligned. I have niched my audience down to speakers, podcasters and content creators, and I’m equipped and ready to move into a true growth phase of putting more SOPs in place to prepare for a team. Content is now easier to create because I know what to talk about. I understand what my mission is and how I help my clients.
